Special time with FAMILY

This is a recap of our time with Aikman's Mom and brother Scott coming to visit our city. We had such a wonderful time with them. Words can't describe what a delight it was to be with family.Sue brought some special gifts from home for some of our dear friends. Our buddy sure loved this baby doll from the US. I asked her if she liked it and she said, "America is very good". I am thinking she was pretty pleased.
Here are some of our college friends with S&S.Sue read a story about the King. When I looked around the room as she was reading, it looked as though they were 6 years old listening to a bedtime story. They listened intently to the story and why this story is so significant in her life. They really loved hearing from Scott about his purpose in life and new business. One day as we were taking a walk through our city we came across this elementary school. Sue had wanted to visit a school, so Aikman said we should go ask and see if we could visit a class. Just like my Mom says, "it never hurts to ask". The school principal was so gracious and immediately announced over the loud speaker that some foreign friends were here so come and say hello. Within a few minutes there were hundreds of children surrounding us. I am sure they voted that Scott was the most fun. I think here he is teaching them the A&M fight song. The children were so fun! It was truly a gift from the Father. They took us to a 3 year old class, where they sang the ABC's for us. One of the sweetest things our ears have ever heard.

Here we are leaving...S&S were still surrounded by children making it difficult to escape.

This was their hot pot experience. Pretty tasty.

Here we are spending time with some friends. We were so excited to introduce our family to our wonderful friends.

Scott just went and sat down by these 2 men. After their initial shock, they seemed quite pleased by his wonderful company. I am sure it was their first time to meet a foreigner. Their first time to ride in a motorcycle that has been transformed into a beautiful limousine. REALLY!

Some new friends we met at a restaurant. Their first experience at an English corner. They did such a great job and our friends loved hearing about their lives and businesses back home. Aikman and I were probably not as entertaining and energetic.

This is right before our departure to return to city...and ending our vacation. We were able to indulge in one last luxury before leaving: Burger King. We received 2 care packages from our Group in Texas, one from our SS class friends and the other from the youth. It was full of all kinds of goodies and cards. Most of the items had a Tex-Mex theme, because they know that is the food we miss most. Although Aikman sure enjoys those power bars and cookies. They sent us Joe-T's salsa, bringing back some wonderful memories of our favorite date night spot. THANK YOU MUCH!
