an island trip...

WARNING! This is a long post but mostly of pictures, so hope you enjoy. Last week we went on a work trip to an island off an island and then off another island...make sense. Well, it was a fruitful and fun trip. The scenery was breathtaking and it has thousands of years of history.

We LOVE the beach so we take every opportunity to enjoy it. The weather wasn't suitable to soak up some sun but we were able to still enjoy a nice walk, this MO girl even took off her shoes just to feel the sand on my feet. The week was full of eating LOTS of seafood. It was very good and we discovered that there is something about FRESH seafood, it taste so much better.

Just one of the many temples on this small island, may darkness flee and His light shine.
Playing duck duck goose, both the children and adults (notice Chris face) enjoyed the game!

Chris and Anna's Dream list
*Ride a motorcycle together around an entire island-CHECK
*Live on an island-CHECK
*Travel the world-CHECK
*Go to Africa and pick up 2 adorable baby boys-hopefully sometime this summer :)

We just love how they do Barbeque's here, you all get to share in the fun of cooking and sit around a table and chat as you wait for all the yummy food.

The works of our God...the marvelous ocean.

Yes, we actually ate what came out of this shell, i think it took about 5 minutes to chew up the first bite. This is a local favorite and speciality.

Oh, how I love the footprints story, it always reminds me of our Mammar.

The kids challenged the 3 of us grown ups in a race so of course we were up for the challenge. Little did we know that as Chris (our final runner) was about at the 200m mark the other team's last runner cut across the court to tease us...we were just a little disappointed because of course we were winning.

A new sister...and such a delight

These young teenagers go every night to study the Word...they majorly blessed our lives

My competitive hubby, though he was tripped teamed yet he still was able to win

Such a precious little one

One of our sweet buddies

At the after school program, this child was so precious. They all worked so hard. We wish that our character writing was as pretty as theirs.

About to board the boat to make our way to the island...it was a little rocky but not too bad.
