1st BIRTHDAY NEHEMIAH MATIAS!!
We celebrated Nehemiah's first birthday last week. His party was set for two weeks ago, but Chris got the stomach bug, so we postponed. The next weekend we had big plans to have a Ethiopian/Mexican Fiesta...but then I got the bug so we were forced to have a small celebration at a restaurant. It was definitely not what we had planned, but
Nime still seemed to enjoy the celebration. He is truly a gift and joy to our hearts. We marvel at the Lord for giving us such a precious, precious baby boy. He is a constant reminder to us of the Father's grace and lovingkindness.

Our focused little walker
The night before his birthday, he just didn't seem sleepy, so we enoyed some extra cuddle time and gave him his first taste of sweets, thanks to Pops and Mimi. These cookies are so good...I am not usually a sweets person but I tend to eat these cookies until they are gone.
Enjoying some family time by making a pizza. He is such a great little helper. I tried to edit myself out of this photo, but it looked strange so I had to stay :(
A future coach- He gets this from his 2 granddads, uncle and dad.
The boys watching their Uncle coach a basketball game-Uncle J is an incredible coach, we are so proud of him!! And what a fun team to watch.
During our visit to see my parents we took advantage of putting the boys to sleep and then going on a date, our first in 5 months. I just love spending time with my hubby.

Gorgeous! Happy Birthday Nehemiah! And isn't it funny after having kids that a date night is now worthy of a photo to mark the occasion-haha!
