We've moved (again)

The last few weeks have been busy as we moved states, so that we can enjoy some quality time with my family and friends before we cross the ocean. My life has been full of goodbye's...it doesn't seem to get easier but there is an excitement deep in our heart that we are one step closer to EA.
Hello and Goodbye for these two hometown boys.
One of my dearest college friends just introduced me to a precious family that adopted a little boy (such a CUTIE)...he and Nime happen to be from the same area. As we were getting ready to leave, Nime kept holding onto this baby and giving him hugs, it was priceless. We have never seen him act this way a child. He must have known that they were connected in a meaningful way. Ethiopia friendships are so fun!!
Enjoying some pool time with one of the boy's favorite people.
My bestie's son who is such a sweetie.

My sweet friend-love her yes I do.
One of those friendships that you know will endure for life.

I love that there are 3 countries represented in this picture!

Recently, we got to know a few of the children that live in a apartment complex where some of our friends live. Though i haven't spent much time with these little one's they have a part of my heart. I left this place crying, wishing I had gotten to know them earlier. My heart also thanked the Lord thatt though we were leaving there were those speaking Truth over their lives.

One of my favorite memories of this year-singing "Jesus Loves Me" with these little ones.

Some of our favorite boys-they share a common heritage with our sons. We were privileged to be friends with this dear family. They have lived through more heartache than one can imagine, yet still they endure and live with joy and hope.

This friend challenged me to know my Savior more, even though she does not yet know Him. I pray that soon she will know such Freedom and peace.

I heart Ethiopian coffee. So sweet, so rich and full of culture.
Every cup of coffee should taste just like this.

A dear friend from Eritrea...sending us off with a coffee ceremony.

They boy's enjoying LOTS of popcorn.
Sadly, they are not quite ready to enjoy Ethiopian coffee.

A day at the lake...these are my sugar's. They melt my heart, fill it with joy and make it overflow with praises to the King cause I get to be their Momma. nime+daddy=best buds

Trying to get a family pic, of course the boys were more concerned about "snack" time.

Zeke pitching to his bubba

Before you know your child you wonder..."what will they become??" You think, I will let them follow whatever they wish, even if its something that I am not too interested in, I will not live out my dreams through my children. You hope they will do what they love to do. I am pretty sure Zeke was meant to be a pitcher. Honestly, when he throws a ball, you better watch out, it is F.A.S.T. and his accuracy well, pretty much perfect. I will definitely not encourage my boys to be professional athletes, but with this kind of talent, I am not sure what to do? JK

We are excited that you are nearing your return to this side of the world. After reading about your tearful goodbyes I thought of a quote I picked up the other day. I'm going to be using it a lot. I'd like to share it . . . “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.” -Dr. Seuss
