The big day!!!

OH HAPPY DAY!!!
We want to say that we are celebrating with this lovely couple because they will soon be husband and wife.

Big Bro & Jen, We are so excited for you all!!! What amazing plans He has in store for you both. He will use in incredible ways as husband and wife for His glory. Much love.

Our trip in April we visited the mountains, quite breath taking for us city dwellers.

This past week we visited a city not too far from us. We were able to spend some time on the beach and purchase some PEARLS. I have never been a girl who likes a lot of jewelry but have always wanted a pearl necklace. My hubby was so sweet and gave me a strand of pearls.

Here he is trying to discern what was the best. I will treasure it always!

Our mode of transportation is usually by bus when we are outside of our city. On one of our trips we encountered this interesting flock of geese. They were packed in ice with only their necks out of these sacks. For all of us animal lovers this is not fun to look at...but my friends assured me that this was because they were trying to keep them alive. Still wondering why they had to shut the door and how they were able to breathe. Hopefully, now they are relaxing in the sun by a lake.

We ate some ice cream at this restaurant similar to a KFC. This little guy was just too cute not to take a picture with.

During our visit to the beach we would take early morning walks. We met this sweet woman who sold us some seashells.

Here are some hard working fishermen.

Those who are walking in darkness will see a great LIGHT!

I asked my sweetie to make a silly face.

Our apartment usually smells like smoke because of our neighbors. I would say 98% of the men in our city smoke, now that is a marylou estimate. Anyways, in our bathroom we always keep our fan on because if we don't our home just reeks of smoke. Takes me back to my time at SBU, all of my roomie's remember how much fun we had as we shared a duplex with those, who well lets say weren't smoking your average cigarette. This night however it didn't smell like cigarette smoke, but rather incense. As I walked back to that area of our house, I said out loud," PLEASE stop burning incense." You must know that they can't hear me but it seems to make me feel a lot better when I express my feelings!! It was just one of those moments you laugh and realize how much fun life can be when you are living in a foreign country.

Are these not the sweetest faces??

Well, one night we had a typhoon come through, but we were so happy because the next day there was a beautiful blue sky with white puffy clouds. Now there is a good illustration in there for you Pops and JP. Aikman was so thrilled he decided to go to the top of the roof to take some pictures (this one is actually taken from our balcony). That day we just seemed to smile a lot more and sing a lovely tune.

Can I just say we have some great parents!!! Our parents each sent a package for Aikman for his birthday...with a few treats for me as well!! How thankful we are for such acts of love!!! If you want to please Aikman just send some TRIPPLE THREAT Power Bars.

For Aikman's birthday we happen to be out of town, but in the company of some great friends from this past year. We were able to enjoy some yummy burritos, now it was no taco bueno...but still it was a pleasant treat for these Texas stomachs.
