Candles, Crutches and a Cactus

This week we have celebrated 2 very important events. On June 11, it was Pop and Mom Carter's 36th Anniversary. WOW! That's pretty incredible, we are so thankful for you both and amazed by how the Father uses your marriage for His good. Our second special event was Mom Hickman's birthday. You are a treasure to us and the King. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!! Here she is with one of our neighborhood grandmas.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DAD AND MOM!!!! They are so cute.

Two weeks ago Aikman had surgery to fix what was broken from 4 years ago from playing college football. Have I mentioned that he was a GREAT quarterback. He had also re-injured his leg last summer. There was lots to fix, the surgery lasted 5 hours. We are so thankful to the Father for a wonderful doctor, kind nurses and great PT's. He ordered our every step!! Aikman getting ready to get on the cool lifter machine so he could board the plane. Gavin, Travis and Drew I was thinking how much you all would have loved it. It was so cool.

Aikman after surgery. Here he is using the CPM machine, his leg had to be constantly moving. Well, we came back from one of our trips and saw that my little cute cactus flower/plant had exploded. I am thinking a little too much water. It's kind of difficult keeping plants alive...not saying the pollution has anything to do with it.
