Perspective for me

 21 killed and 80 injured in Egypt

All because they had chosen to go to church that day.  this story brought perspective to my heartache yesterday. Asking for boldness and peace for those who are walking in the light. Praying  for healing and comfort for the families and those injured.  Oh Lord, what the enemy meant for evil, may it spring new life in that area of the world.

For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;
if we endure, we will also reign with Him;
If we deny Him, He also will deny us; if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
2 timothy 2:11-13

I sat yesterday telling someone about how sin will never disappear, even if we add tons of good deeds on top of it. It's always there needing to be washed away by something powerful. And that's something only God can do and it's why he sent Jesus.

Throughout the conversation the Lord hit me with the realization that at that moment all was dark in my friend's heart and I was shining a big fat mag-lite toward her soul, throwing seed toward the soil of her heart. What a BIG deal it is to share truth.

How comforting to know our brothers and sisters who lost their lives are now safe and suffer no more threats, no more worry, and no more tears. They have their Father now and its everything they've ever needed. Our Comforter will comfort them. His power is amazing and knows no end. Tonight even in their sorrow I have faith that he will speak words of truth and hope and comfort to them. May he be glorified!
